THE DANCE OF THE URBAN SHAMAN
The exhibition examines the search for alternatives paths to (self) knowledge and the descent into the world of the (collective) sub-conscious in works by 21 artists from the Gallery’s collection and nine invited participants from seven countries (SK, PL, HU, FR, DE, IN, RO). The show is reflecting upon the imagination, dreams, the unconscious, spirituality and personal mythologies. It is a glimpse into parallel worlds which mirror our thoughts, desires and fears. Part of the Collection in Dialogue cycle of exhibitions.

MARTIN KACVINSKÝ: Non-local Paintings
In his work, the artist takes critical aim at the individual and contemporary society as a whole. His art is characterised above all by its experimental approach and the search for painterly expression through striking gestures. Part of the Profiles / Spiš Artists cycle of exhibitions.

ANNAMÁRIA MIKULÍKOVÁ: Ephemera
A selection of works by a product designer who has long been active on the international art scene. Her jewellery and applied art explore ecological dimensions and experiment with materials and techniques. Part of the Profiles / Spiš Artists cycle of exhibitions.

ŠTEFAN HUDZÍK: The Unseen Atelier
Works by the Spiš-based sculptor are displayed in an unorthodox format which offers a glimpse into his creative environment – the improvisational “open studio” which the artist left for posterity. The exhibition is presented on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the artist’s birth. Part of the Honourees / Spiš Artists cycle of exhibitions.
